I left my boots in Africa

Half a decade ago, I purchased a set of boots (the ones located on the left side) in anticipation of a Safari trip in South Africa. These boots had a beautiful mocha hue, perfect for the bush, and were incredibly comfortable right from the first wear. This was particularly important to me since I have small, wide feet with a high instep, somewhat resembling a hobbit :-)

My boots and I have embarked on numerous adventures together. Some memorable experiences include going on 3 safaris, facing off with rhinos, and camping overnight in a Big 5 Game reserve, where they remained securely on my feet throughout the night.

They have also been on many walks back home, I've walked the dog and ridden my horse in them and they did the on the longest zipwire in the UK with me.

Nevertheless, our time together has come to an end. Despite experiencing significant wear and tear, they remain in outstanding condition. Following 5 delightful years with them, I will be switching to a waterproof pair that was unavailable when I bought mine. The tall pair will accompany me back home after enduring 2 weeks of rigorous use on a riding safari (they simply require a thorough cleaning now).

Even though I have returned home, my boots remain in Africa as I have gifted them to a child in need of footwear, ensuring that the journey of my boots lives on.
